Epidemiologist – Zimbabwe

The epidemiologist will provide oversight of existing health information systems as well as recommending improvements to data gathering methodology. He/she will contribute to the design/design disease surveillance systems as well as gather/analyse information related to patterns of morbidity and mortality. Disease surveillance will be targeted towards relevant infectious diseases as well as malnutrition prevalence levels. This role is also responsible for ensuring that systems are in place in order to gather relevant information required for health related, donor-funded project indicators.

Technical Advisor, Male Sexual Health (Thailand)

The Technical Advisor will provide senior level leadership to FHI’S country and regional programs globally in the area of male sexual health (MSH) and HIV/AIDS prevention. S/he will provide direct technical assistance and coordinate the provision of technical assistance in MSH to FHI country offices and implementing agencies globally and especially in the Asia Pacific region.

Senior Surveillance Advisor

The Surveillance Advisor will provide broad HIV/AIDS-related expertise and guidance in program evaluation and monitoring; strengthen USAID’s ability to monitor program implementation; document results; and assess the programmatic impact of USAID’s goal to reduce HIV transmission and mitigate the impact of the disease on nations, communities and families. The Surveillance Advisor will also be a key contributor to the design and implementation of surveillance systems and reporting program results in the priority countries under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and in other USAID-assisted countries.

Displaced New Orleans Residents Study

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and direction in the development, management, and implementation of sample surveys, statistical and demographic research and scientific activities related to tobacco use and surveillance activities that focus on tobacco-related behavior and attitudes in an international setting. The incumbent has survey research experience and applies expertise in demography, statistics, and epidemiology to the design and implementation of sample surveys in the 16 countries. Incumbent plans, collaborates and facilitates the implementation of tobacco use prevalence and related indicators internationally and works closely with high-ranking members of the Ministries of Health and WHO offices and partners in these countries.

HIV/TB epidemiologist – Washington State

The Infectious Disease Epidemiologist 2 works under the direction of the IDRH Assessment Unit’s Senior Epidemiologist to support surveillance and assessment activities in the areas of HIV and tuberculosis.

Data Quality Liaison – Newborn screening program
